Respiratory Therapist

We are looking for detail-oriented, outgoing applicants for a Respiratory Therapist position. If this is you, keep reading!

This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position that requires an outgoing and helpful person who puts the patient first and always delivers quality, caring service. Our RT's operate across multiple spaces - in the hospitals, clinics and homes, educating patients, caregivers and other healthcare professionals on how to use our equipment and supplies. Must have the ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems while in patient homes or on-call. Overtime will be occasionally required.

We are continually hiring for this position in our offices across the state of Texas.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform deliveries and exchanges of oxygen, supplies and various medical equipment

  • Set up for devices such as mechanical ventilators and other therapeutic respiratory equipment, feeding supplies, and other DME

  • Education support to patients, parents and caregivers

  • Responsible for routine patient follow-up contacts based on individual needs

  • Maintain patient records relating to pertinent information, care plans, physician prescriptions and follow-up documentation

  • Rotating On-Call support

  • Cultivate relationships with parents, foster homes, and referral sources

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or higher

  • Current CRT and/or RRT license and certification through the NBRC

    • Must maintain current license and CEU's

  • Respiratory care experience required, home health/DME experience preferred​

  • Above average communication and organizational skills​

  • Must have a friendly, empathetic and compassionate personality, and work well with co-workers.

  • Must possess a valid and current driver's license and auto insurance

  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and stand on your feet for long periods

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Bilingual applicants preferred

Hours:

  • 40hrs+ a week 8:30am-5:00pm

  • Rotation of after-hours on-call service

  • Punctuality and reliability are a must

  • Availability before 8:30 or after 5:00 may be required at different times of the month.
