Response to Philips Respironics Sleep & Respiratory Product Portfolio Changes

Updated: Feb 5

Apple HMS, a Pediatric Home Service Company, has been informed of a change in access to certain medical equipment manufactured by Philips Respironics. This includes ventilators, non-invasive PAP devices, cough assist devices, oxygen concentrators, and neb compressors.

As additional information becomes available, we will continue to provide updates through the Pediatric Home Service website and the link below.

What are the Philips Respironics Sleep & Respiratory Product Portfolio Changes?

This is NOT a recall. Philips Respironics, which makes some of the equipment our patients use, has chosen to discontinue certain respiratory-related equipment. A list of equipment and more information can be found in this Philips Respironics Communication.

What is PHS doing?

  • There is no immediate impact on our patients.

  • PHS is actively working with our supply partners and health care providers to address this notice and find suitable alternatives if needed.

  • The equipment, supplies, and services you receive from PHS will remain business as usual and our teams will continue to work diligently to provide you with the care and information you need.

Do I need to change my ventilator?

  • The existing products are not impacted, and Philips has not indicated any need to be concerned about the products.

  • Existing equipment will continue to be serviced by Philips and PHS’s in-house Philips Respironics-certified technicians.

  • PHS has sufficient parts and expertise to continue to service existing equipment for the foreseeable future.

What if I have a specific question about my child?
